Miley blinked, momentarily pulled from her thoughts. She started to say everything was fine, then stopped herself.
A hint of sadness crept into her voice. “Stella, do you think a future with Neville is even possible?”

“You and Neville are destined for marriage. The trials you’ve endured to reunite speak volumes; it’s a bond to be cherished.”
“Really?” Miley’s confusion lingered, but Stella’s words eased the tension coiling within her.
She needed to trust Neville.
Upon their arrival at the restaurant, they found Neville waiting for them anxiously.

Before Miley could respond, a knock sounded at the door.
